Ryegrass and Kentucky Bluegrass are quite often affected by rust which may flourish if there is high level of soil compaction, if the lawn is shaded and the dew is heavy or because of the lack of fertilizer. To get rid of this disease you should aerate and mow your lawn more frequently, fertilize thoroughly and use Aniazine or Triadimefon.

Red thread is also one of the most common diseases affecting Fescues, Kentucky Bluegrasses and Ryegrasses, especially if they are overwatered. Red threads are especially noticeable when the grass is wet. Removing thatch, correct mowing, fertilization and aeration may solve this problem as well as Chlorothalonil – one of the best lawn doctors.
